Hedge Woundwort
Botanical Name: Stachys sylvatica
Habitat: Hedges, roadsides, waste ground, woods
Description: 60-100cm/24-40in tall. Stems: square, erect,
soft hair. Leaves: paired, short stalks, toothed, heart shaped and pointed (similar
to nettle leaves), basal leaves long stalked. Flowers in spikes, dull red/purple
whorls forming at the base of upper leaves June –September
Respiratory: Bronchitis
