He is a guardian of unripe fruit especially gooseberry

He is depicted as looking like a large caterpillar

 

Ballybogs - Irish, Welsh, English

Other Names: Bog-a-boo, Boggans, Boggies, Bogles, Mudbogs, Peat Faeries

They are the guardians of the peatbogs

 

Erinnyes - Greek

They take revengence on murderers often driving them to suicide

They are called Alecto (Implacable), Tisiphone (Avenger) and Megaera (Disputatious)

Their hair is like snakes and they have wings of bats

 

Korrigans - Cornish

Other Names: Corrigans

They protect springs and wells

They are beautiful maidens or red eyes hags
