A man and boy heard crying in a copse and came across a fairy looking for his pickaxe. The man and boy found it and the fairy gave them food.

A man was working in the local fields when he heard a voice call, "I have broke my bilk". The man went to where the voice had come from and found a fairy crying there. The man repaired the bilk (a cross barred seat). The fairy danced and took the man into a cave where they ate biscuits and wine. The man did well there after.
