Isle of Man Fairy Places

Castle Rushen

This castle was built in the 13th and 14th century was believed to the home of fairies, giants and was spellbound by Merlin

Also known as Fairy Hill

This is believed the site of a fairy palace, fairy funerals and folklore of a stolen fairy cup and abductions.

It is 40 foot high and 450 foot in circumference, the mound is natural but the moat is man made and there was possible a stone house built on top at one time.

Shan Cashtal means Old Castle. This defensive earthwork contains a underground tunnel that the fairies have used
