On 24th June St John's Day a wooden dog at the feet of a crusader's effigy is believed to come alive and dance with the fairies.

Godshill Church, Isle of Wight

This is another church which was moved by the fairies from the level field below to the top of the hill when the humans tried to build it. The field is believed to be a fairy dancing area

Puckaster Cove, Isle of Wight

SZ 515758

This is one of the fairies favourite dancing ground. One man followed a strange light and came upon fairies dressed in red and purple who were dancing. The fairies gave the man a brown powder which made the man smaller, and the fairies danced around him until they were tired and they sat down on puffballs that then burst open and gold dust came out. The man was given some gold before returning to his human size.
