Fairy Hill, Bishopton

Also known as Castle Hill

This hill is the remains of a 12th century castle. Once workmen tried to remove the earth on the hill. They heard a voice "Is all well?" to which they replied "Yes". \the voice said "Then keep well when you are well and leave Fairy Hill alone"

Fairy music, strange lights and fires have been seen there

This is a formation of rocks

 

Fairies Cradle, Hetton-le-Hole

Fairies have been seen dancing at this barrow

 

Clint's Crags, Weardale

The Queen of the Fairies lives here - her palace made out of stalactites. The fairies here have often been heard but never seen.
