Apache Tears


It is a form of obsidian, which is a silica volcanic rock with a water contents of less than 1%.

Description: Often they are tear shaped and are black and semi-transparent

Hardness: 5-5.

Found In: Mexico, USA

Properties: It is a stone, which balances the emotions and helps a person to ground. It gives protection to the person and helps the person to understand their emotions better in a safe environment. It is especially useful for people who are grieving

It is believed to bring people good luck and ensure they do not cry

Chakras: Root, Sexual, Heart

Element: Earth, Fire

Other Notes: The name is derived from the belief that when the Calvary who forced the Apache over a precipice killing them, the Apache women shed tears of grief that transformed into the crystal.
